Like many great stories, ours started with humble beginnings in the mountains of southern California. While working in the desert southwest, our founder, Adam, often sought refuge from the oppressive heat in the San Jacinto mountains. It was there he discovered and fell in love with the community of Idyllwild, and it was there he learned how to roast coffee. Adam found himself returning to Idyllwild on numerous occasions to play, reflect, plan his outdoor expeditions, and enjoy great coffee.
Years later, Adam founded Idyllwild Coffee Company to share his love of premium gourmet coffee, the latest roasting and brewing techniques, and the great outdoors. Today, Adam serves as our Chief of Product.
Idyllwild Coffee Company sources premium and speciality-grade coffee beans that are ethically traded, and roasts them in Southern California.
Our farms are often certified USDA organic, Fair Trade TSA, Con Manos De Mujer, and Shade Grown Bird Friendly.
We are committed to making ethical, conscious choices as a brand that protect our planet and support the farmers and people who help with each step of the coffee to cup process. It is our mission to help drive forward sustainable coffee innovation and foster initatives that protect our wild spaces for future generations to explore and enjoy.

We work with our partners to ensure that all our retail consumer bags are recyclable or compostable. All of our packing and shipping materials are curbside recyclable.
